Set up by Peter Steele in 1982 Hard Edge Media continues to be run by this former Fleet Street man. Peter covered some of the biggest stories of the rime during his stint on The Sun, Evening Standard and Daily Mail but always kept a home in Scotland's north east.It was this love for the Country that was the main reason for him taking the decision to set up the Northscot agency in Aberdeen where the Fleet Street know-how, hard work and some great staff started the process that quickly led to Northscot becoming pre-eminent.
With the rapid success following expansion to Glasgow and then Edinburgh Peter augmented the local success by establishing Hard Edge Media as the co-ordinating entity to ensure that while each agency retains a fierce pride and focus on their own city and region, when needed the formidable talents can be effectively co-ordinated.
This local presence with a national reach is unique in the independent agency field and has resulted in Peter himself being in demand further afield,.Among present non-Hard Edge Media duties are non executive Directorships and a non-executive Chairmanship in media companies with a UK, and global reach.
